Evan Webeck After yet another down year for the Pac-12, things are looking up for the conference. Despite preforming well on the gridiron, the Pac-12 has faltered when it comes to basketball. Last season, two teams finished with just six wins and every team had double-digit losses. Only one at large team made the NCAA Tournament; that was Cal, who lost in the First Four. Colorado won the Pac-12 Tournament, earning themselves an automatic bid into March Madness, where they won their first round game before getting bounced by Baylor.
It looks like a rebuilding year for Washington, who enters the 2012-2013 season after losing two first round picks in Terrence Ross and Tony Wroten, but Arizona and UCLA look much improved after both hauled in consensus top five recruiting classes. Colorado’s star forward, Andre Roberson, returns for his junior season and All-Pac-12 guard Alan Crabbe decided to return to Cal while the rival Stanford Cardinal see three of five starters return.
