In their final conference home meet of the season, the Arizona State Gym Devils will take on the No. 5 Utah Utes on Saturday.

Both teams are coming off season-high weekends. Utah beat the No. 4 UCLA Bruins 197.875-197.500. The Utes posted a 49.675 on the floor with every gymnast scoring a 9.900 or better.

Utah freshman and 2016 U.S. Olympic alternate MyKayla Skinner continued to show why she’s No. 2 in the nation for all-around as she remained undefeated, beating UCLA freshman and former Olympic teammate Madison Kocian with a score of 39.675.

Skinner is coming into the weekend after being named Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week for the fifth time in seven weeks. The Gilbert, Ariz. native previously trained at Desert Lights Gymnastics in Chandler, Ariz. under Lisa Spini, the wife of longtime former ASU gymnastics coach John Spini.

The Gym Devils are coming off a weekend filled with season highs. Despite losing to Stanford, ASU posted another season high score of 195.200.

The Devils also scored a season high on the uneven-bars with a 48.950 and had two gymnasts – freshmen Morgan Hart and Graycee Rushton – set career highs.

ASU senior Beka Conrad posted a career high as well, tying for first on the beam with a 9.850.

Sun Devil freshman Ashley Szafranski has been improving each meet. She recorded a 9.850 on the beam along with her career high 9.825 on the uneven bars in the team’s last meet.

The contest is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena and will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.
