The Pac-12 football all-conference awards were announced Monday night, with six Arizona State players receiving first- or second-team recognition.

Junior wideout Jaelen Strong and senior left tackle Jamil Douglas were selected as first-team all-conference on the offensive side of the ball, while senior safety Damarious Randall was the lone Sun Devil first-team selection on defense.

Junior running back DJ Foster, junior center Nick Kelly and sophomore place kicker Zane Gonzalez were all selected as second team all-conference members.

A year removed from tying Stanford with the most first-team selections (6), the Sun Devils received the bulk of their nominations via honorable mention in 2014.

Freshman running back Demario Richard and offensive linemen Christian Westerman and Vi Teofilo were honorable mentions on offense. Six defensive players, including Marcus Hardison, DJ Calhoun, Salamo Fiso, Lloyd Carrington, Jordan Simone and Laiu Moeakiola were nominated.

Voted on by Pac-12 head coaches, the all-conference selections also pitted Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota and Arizona linebacker Scooby Wright as offensive and defensive Players of the Year, respectively.

Unlike 2013, in which nine of the 13 Sun Devils who received first or second team recognition graduated or departed for the NFL, four of the six recipients in 2014 project to be back with the Sun Devils next season. Additionally, eight of the nine honorable mention recipients for ASU are presumed to be back in 2015.
